Frontier TM has the capability of applying therapeutic agents of choice to a medical implant surface (e.g. antibiotic, anti-thrombotic, bone morphogenic proteins, etc). Additionally, this new process technology gives significantly enhanced surface-finish characteristics with superior end product quality and at dramatically reduced application costs.
Frontier CRM™: The large smooth surface area associated with implantable Pulse Generators presents an as yet unexploited opportunity to convey therapeutic agents into the body either to enhance the primary role or the device itself or to delivery a secondary function by way of drug release. Frontier CRM™ Tin tapping this rich vein, provide room temperature surface modification for drug eluting capability to the CRM market. The research and development currently underway for Frontier Orthopaedic can also be leveraged to advance the commercialisation of the Frontier CRM™ technology platform.
Frontier Stent™: Recent company research and customer interaction has identified the potential of the Frontier technology for the stent sector - particularly for cardiovascular stent applications. Frontier presents the option of applying a therapeutic rich coat to select surfaces of the stent mesh without a reliance on a polymer film. The flexible efficient and effective application process further emphasises the attractiveness of this technology for Medical Device manufacturers in this sector.
