ThinKotes - Coatings

Successful ThinKotes include ceramics, pure metals and metal alloys. Only three conditions need to be met to produce a functional ThinKote:

  • A Hardness Differential Between The Abrasive & Coating Particles
  • A Reactive Substrate i.e. Oxide Forming
  • A Bond Affinity Between The Passivating Substrate & Coating

Qualified ThinKotes include:

  • Graphites
  • Carbon Blacks
  • WC Co Cr
  • PTFE
  • Hydroxyapatite
  • Tri Calcium Phosphate
