John O’Donoghue

Chief Technical Officer & Director

John O'Donoghue is the principal founding member of the EnBIO team. He was until recently a Principal Engineer with Guidant/Boston Scientific. There he was responsible for conceptualizing and implementing new approaches to the manufacture of medical devices as well as designing and implementing several product improvement changes. He also has extensive regulatory and medical device validation experience. In total John has more than 17 years experience in the Irish medical device/diagnostic industry having previously worked with Johnson & Johnson and National Medical Care. He holds an Honors Mechanical Engineering Degree from University College Dublin and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.

 

Joe O’Keeffe

Chief Commercial Officer & Director

Joe O'Keeffe is a serial entrepreneur with considerable experience in high-technology start-ups having served as CEO of Pentus Technologies and COO of MV Technologies, both Irish start-ups in the Industrial Automation area. Prior to joining EnBIO, Joe served as Chief Commercial Officer / founder of SensL, a University of Cork College campus company and a world leader in low light detectors, and as Chief Operations Officer of NanoComms, a UCC campus company set up to exploit technology for the biophotonics and biosensor markets. Before that he was Managing Director of the European arm of Inflow, a U.S. based Data Center and IT Managed Services Company. Joe has also worked as a Business Development Manager with Motorola in Russia where he was responsible for the set-up of a JV and their first manufacturing operation in Eastern Europe. He holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin, an M.Sc. in Computer Applications from Dublin City University, and an M.B.A. from Dublin City University.

 

Vincent Grady

Financial Controller

Vincent Grady is EnBIO’s financial controller. He has a wealth of relevant experience in the medical device sector complimented with experience in the electronic and environmental sector. He holds an Honors Business Studies Degree from the University of Limerick and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young. He has start-up experience with Dell Computers when they set up a manufacturing facility in Ireland and also assisted with the Dell start-up in Malaysia. Vincent carried out a similar role with Johnson & Johnson when they set up their Vistakon plant in Limerick. His most recent experience is as Financial Controller of the environmental division of an Irish plc. This division has grown from a turnover of €3 million to in excess of €30million in the past 7 years and was achieved through organic growth and strategic acquisition.
